Tattoo Insurance Cover
A centuries-old tradition with 21st Century problems…
A tattoo artist requires a licence to operate; the Local Authority requires you to have Public Liability insurance cover before issuing your licence. This is where Tattoo Insure can help!
With over 10 years of experience in the Tattoo Insurance industry, Tattoo Insure understands the insurance needs of tattoo artists. Whether you own a studio, are self-employed, rent a space in a mobile capacity, or need cover at a convention, Tattoo Insure can provide the right policy for your requirements.
As well as loss or damage to your equipment (Contents Insurance) and liability to the public when they arrange treatment at your studio or at a convention (Public Liability Insurance), any injury caused to your clients when you tattoo them, or an infection that occurs later (Treatment Risk Insurance), Tattoo Insure can provide Insurance Cover tailored to your needs.
Tattoo Insure has a specialist insurance scheme for tattoo artists, studios, and mobile tattooists, and already insures thousands of businesses across the UK.

What cover do I need as a Tattoo Artist or Studio Owner?
Public Liability
This provides cover for any injury to other people or damage to their property, as long as the incident is not caused by treatment or professional advice.
Employers Liability
Provides cover for your tattoo studio if employees or assistants are injured. Certificates must be displayed, and Health & Safety regulations followed.
Treatment Risk Insurance
Covers claims made for injury or infection caused to clients by your treatment. Self-employed tattooists should hold their own policies, which can transfer between studios. Studio owners must ensure chair-renters and guest artists have valid cover.
About Tattoo Insure
We are not a faceless call centre abroad. Based in Northampton, we attend conventions across the UK (Northampton, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Titanic & Halloween Conventions) to meet you face-to-face and discuss your insurance needs.
